Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos – Sweet Treats!

It was homecoming this past weekend, and my daughter went to a pre-party at our friend’s house.
They were serving snacks for the kids and I thought these would be fun to take.
Easy because you don’t even have to turn your oven on.
Make some eggless cookie dough, sandwich it between an oreo cookie, dip in chocolate and add some sprinkles.
So cute and the kids (and adults) love the combination.
You could even make these match your event – use heart sprinkles for Valentine’s day,
or Halloween sprinkles for Halloween, you get the idea.
Go crazy and pick a different oreo flavor. Use mint oreos and add junior mints to the cookie dough.
(Mind explosion! or should I say MINT explosion?)

INGREDIENTS:

2 sticks unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla or vanilla bean paste
1/2 teaspoon salt

2 1/2 cups flour

1 cup mix ins (chocolate chips, chunks, candy, etc..)

48 to 52 oreos

1  1/2 cups Ghiradelli bittersweet chips
1 teaspoon canola oil

Sprinkles – about 1/4 to 1/2 cup

DIRECTIONS:

Mix together butter, brown sugar, white sugar, salt, vanilla and cream.
Add flour and then mix-ins.
Pull oreos apart, may need to use a butter knife to slice through the cream so cookies don’t break.
Scoop cookie dough and make a sandwich.
Place in fridge for 1 hour.

Melt chocolate chips and canola oil in microwave slowly. 45 seconds, stir, 30 seconds stir. Til melted.
Dip each sandwhich in the chocolate and place on parchment or wax paper.
Lightly spoon sprinkles as you go through dipping.
The chocolate will harden quickly since the cookies are so cold from the fridge.

All done. 🙂

Directions with photos:

Cream butter and sugar.

Add salt and mix.

Add vanilla.

Add cream.

Add the flour.

Add mix-ins. I used a combo of mini chocolate chips and some chocolate chunks.

Separate oreos.

Scoop cookie dough on one side and make sandwiches.
And place them in the fridge so they will be nice and stuck together!!

How good do these look? But we are not done yet!

Melt the chocolate chips slowly in the microwave.
The tiny bit of oil adds some shine.

I used rainbow sprinkles, so cute and festive!

If you like eating the raw cookie dough, you will love these. ♥

Enjoy! ♥ The kids at the homecoming pre-party did 🙂
